Yes, we took our first family vacation (not involving a grandparent's house). And, yes, we took the kids to Nebraska! The zoo in Omaha is awesome! We didn't get a lot of pictures of the kids there, but we took tons of animal pictures. We're going to make the kids an animal book with all the pictures.
It was about a 4 hour drive for us, and at times it felt much longer. Michael felt the need to name every vehicle we passed. "truck", "car", "bus", "sickle" (motorcycle), "ser" (concrete mixer, or any tanker truck...). And if we didn't acknowledge him, he repeated it over and over and over again! Nora rides much quieter. She just rocked out to whatever was playing on the radio! Bopping her head and trying to sing along...
We visited some other area attractions during our 3 day stay. It was a GREAT family vacation! And now we're all happy to be home.
